He married a cousin, Phoebe Henshaw on Nov 19, 1799. She was born on Dec. 4, 1777, daughter of Col. William Henshaw and died Aug. 11, 1815. He married (2nd) her sister Lucinda, on March 28, 1816. His children were: (1) Theodore Vernon, born Feb 21, 1800, died Jan. 19, 1854, went to Indianapolis, Indiana 1821, married March 30, 1823 to Elizabeth McLaughlin, had 11 children; (2) Catherine Henshaw born July 28, 1801, died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 31, 1877, married on Jan 1, 1821 to Otis Sprague, had 4 children; (3) Henry Augustus born Oct. 10, 1802, married April 14, 1825 to Eliza Sprague, resded in Worcester, died Dec. 11, 1899 and buried in Leicester, had 10 children; (4) Joseph A. born May13, 1804, died Feb 25, 1875, buried in Leicester. He married Mary Davis on April 30, 1829 , she was from Rutland, they had 2 children; (5) Lucinda Henshaw, born April 3, 1806, marred June 3, 1839 to Lucius Botsford, who died Dec. 18, 1876 at 72 years of age. Resided at Lisbon, Illinois, had 4 children, she died Jan. 1898. (6) Christopher Columbus, born Jan 10, 1813, married Oct 10, 1837 to Susan Brigham Rockwood (9) Phoebe Henshaw, born June 4, 1815, died July 22, 1877, married Sept. 21, 1843 to James Otis Kendall of Ashby, moved to Hartford Wisconsin, had 4 children; (10) Sarh Healy, born feb. 11, 1817, died Oct 4, 1838, married Sept. 21, 1837 to Jacob Boon and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she died, had 1 child; (11) Harriet Flint, born Dec. 13, 1818, married June 14, 1842 to Rev. Enoch Underwood, resided in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin where he was pastor of the Baptist church, she died Feb 14, 1904, had 5 children; (12) Elizabeth Henshaw, born April 12, 1821, married Hiram H.
