    3. Hi Fellow Worcester Researchers, I received this letter from someone who asked that I post it to the list. If anyone has any information to share with Joan, I'm sure it would mean a lot to her. In the meantime, I will send her the information to join this mailing list. Thanks, Margie ----- Original Message ----- From: NotelyJoan@aol.com To: hoejbusk@prodigy.net Sent: Wednesday, October 16, 2002 1:21 PM Subject: RE: Worcester mailing list Hi Margie, How does one get on the Worcester mailing list? I am looking for ancestors in the Worcester County area and so far no one has found them and we are still searching. I am disabled and homebound and only get out when someone takes me out which makes it even harder for me to go searching. Thank God for this Computer because it has enabled me to find lots of places to go for information. I found most of my famy line, Desjarlais, dating back to Normandie, France in 1644. And my cousin on my X-husband's side of the family is helping to do his line; it is the same as hers so what I have is of benefit to her and visa versa. My problem is, I am trying to do my Uncle Norman Gevry's family as a surprise for his daughter Joyce (my 1st cousin) who is my caregiver. His father is John Gevry born in Canada under the name of Jean Baptiste GEVRY and he, his Father Simon, Mother Rosalie (Rose), Brothers Joseph, Henry, Louis and sister Virgina all came to the States (Worcester County, Webster area) around 1890-1900. Henry settled in Leominister and raised a family. Have it in Census record. Louis settled in Webster and rased a very big family. He had 2 possibly 3 wives and he has a son still living, Bernard 78 years old. we have been in touch but he does not remember very much. I have also been in touch with his daughter in Florida but all papers are up here so she and I will get together next summer to see what we can find. Now for my Direct Family, Normand Gevry. His daughter told me that He was born February 26, 1912 in Webster, MA but someone from another list looked it up and could not find it. His Parents: John (Jean Baptiste) GEVRY and Amanda "Robitaille" GEVRY Should have been in some record in Webster but they could not find any. Another person tried Leominster for me but only found Henry and his family. According to the SSDI records there were several of John and Amanda's children born in MA. I have sent for Uncle Norman's SS Application which should give me and Idea as to where he lived, I hope. I found John Gevry with another wife Maud in the 1920 Census (name spelled GEVERY) in Burrillville, RI with all his children. Norman was only 7 years, 10 mos. born in MA as were Dorothy, Aurore and Cora. Arthur and Ida were born in CT. I need to find evidence of the existance of John Gevry & Amanda Robitaille living in MA. How can I do this? Is there other List in MA that I can join? I am on MA-rooters but that keeps bouncing back.. Can you please give it a shot or put this information on the Worcester mailing list for me. I am hoping to find them. They can not hide from me forever. Thanks Joan NotelyJoan@aol.com
