Wallis Jr., 56, of 155 Wallis St., died Monday, Oct. 14, in UMass Memorial-Heath Alliance Leomister Campus, after being stricken ill at work. He leaves his wife of nine years, Patricia (McLaughlin) Perkins-Wallis; a son, Frederick A. Wallis of Douglas; two daughters, Jennifer M. Clark of Uxbridge and Katherine S. Wallis of Uxbridge; two stepsons, Jeffrey G. and Christopher D. Perkins, both of Douglas; a stepdaughter, jennifer L. Mathieu of Douglas; and six grandchildren. A son, William J. Wallis III, died in 1981. He wa born in Worcester, son of William J. Wallis Sr. and Olive M. (Brown) Wallis, and lived in Douglas most of his life.He graduated from the former Webster Academy. Mr. Wallis was a site foreman and manager at Cover Technologies Inc., Springfield, for the past eight years. He previously owned and operated Lawn Doctor in the Douglas area for several years. He enjoyed fly fishing, tractors, old cars and boats. The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 18, from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug Road. Burial will be Evergreen Cemetary. Calling hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Mount Royal Suite 200, Marlboro, MA 01752
