    2. Susan - If you ever visited our Town Hall, you might have a better understanding that in a small town like ours, the Town Clerk has many responsibilities, and does not have staff that she can send off to look up these things. Unfortunately, genealogy lookups have to take a back seat. I don't think the records you seek are in the clerk's office, and possibly not even in the same building. I was told that all the Mendon vital records were filmed by the LDS sometime in the 1970's?. Have you checked to see what they have? There is a Mendon list at rootsweb that you may want to join if you haven't already. There are people on that list who are very knowledgeable about the history of Mendon. Listname: MA-MENDON To Subscribe: MA-MENDON-L-request@rootsweb.com I would post your specific questions there. Have you tried the Taft Library and the Mendon Historical Society? Mendon is in Worcester County, which would explain why some of your records came from there. Here is the web site for Taft Library http://www.kersur.net/~taft/ I would send them an email and ask them if there is anyone who is researching your family name. People who use the library can leave this information in the history/genealogy section. I found this at the Mendon Town Website: Historical Commission Mendon, MA 01756 508-634-6898 Chairperson: John Trainor Current Members: Colleen Conley and Pamela Arons As for the Births you are missing, have you checked with the churches? The Unitarian Congregation of Mendon and Uxbridge is the result of a consolidation of two historical congregations: The First Parish Society of Mendon, gathered at the town's founding in 1667, and the First Congregational Society (Unitarian) of Uxbridge, also gathered at the town's founding in 1734. The Mendon Church is located at 8 Maple Street (in the Village) in Mendon Church office: 13 Maple Street, P.O.
