Hello listers, Wondering if anyone might know if there were foreign military units in the Worcester area about 1745-1749, in particular Shrewsbury? I wonder as at this point, as I am unable to locate any information on a 4TH G-Grandfather in that region with the surname of FINEL. Nor have I found a marriage record, death record, or birth record of the 3RD G-Grandfather. Although I know my 4TH G-Grandmother was born in Shrewsbury, 1730-1731, as I have proven that. And currently I am tracking her movements in hopes of maybe finding a clue to their meeting. Also if there were, any suggestions as to finding about the history of such units would be greatly appreciated also. Thank you for any comments as I am now suspecting this fellow might have been part of some military unit stationed there or near there. Basically leaving no stone unturned is what I am doing now. Don
