    3. (6) Aaron GOODALE, also known as Aaron Jr., son of Aaron (5) was born in West Boylston, MA, 8 Mar 1781 and died there in 1840. He served as selectman of W. Boylston. He settled on the farm originally owned by Ebenezer FRIZZOL, afterwards by David WINCH. It is located a mile west of the common on the south slope of Malden Hill on the road to Holden. He left in his will land that he bought of Otis KITTREDGE, to his daughter Caroline. He married 17 Jan 1805 to Mehitable (Hitte in records of Holden) BLAKE, daughter of Jeremiah and Molly BLAKE of Holden. She was born 21 Feb 1782. She administered her husband's estate, and was guardian of the minor children in 1840. Their chldren were: 1 Charles, b 11 May 1807 2 Caroline, b 31 Mar 1820 3 Aaron, --See Forward-- ---------------------------------------------------- (7) Aaron GOODALE, son of Aaron Jr. (6) was born in West Boylston, MA, 31 Jan 1823. He was educated there in the common schools and began life as a farmer. He founded the first retail ice business in town and carried on the same in addition to conducting his farm, maintaining both callings until 1886, when he retired. He died at W. Boylston, 25 April 1898. In politics he was an active Republican and frequently elected delegate to the various nominating conventions of his party. He served the town of W.Boylston as overseer of the poor, assessor and selectman. He was called to many positions of honor and public trust. During the Civil War, Mr. GOODALE belonged to the old State Guard, an independent company of militia for guard duty in Worcester. He was a faithful member and trustee of the Baptist Church. He married Elizabeth FALES, daughter of John & Elmira FALES. Her father was a farmer of Pelham, MA. She died 23 Aug 1891. Their children: 1 Lucretia, b 16 Jan 1845, d 14 Nov 1847 2 Sarah Augusta, b 19 Apr 1847, m Henry A. BOYNTON of W. Boylston and they had (6) children: Emma Lucretia, b 18 Feb 1868; Walter Grant, b 22 Aug 1870, m Bertha HARRIS of Clinton and they had (4) children, namely: Elbert, Gladys, Dorris & Marion L.;; Frank Wayland BOYNTON, b 2 Mar 1872; Rose Alma BOYNTON, b 5 Jan 1874, desceased; a son, b 22 May 1875, died young; Flora Christine BOYNTON, b 16 Aug 1878, wife of Theodore T. MARSH of Dedham, MA 3 Walter Gardner, b 4 Nov 1849, m Seraphine SMITH of Pawtucket, RI and they have (2) children: Nellie S., b 10 Sep 1872, wife of John S. MURDOCK of Providence, RI; Frank Gardner, b 4 Jul 1874, m Clara E. SMITH of Florida and has (1) son, Walter Gardner. 4 Aaron --See Forward-- 5 Caroline Elizabeth, b 5 Apr 1859, died 27 May 1859 6 Warren, now one of the Worcester County Commissoners, b 8 Sep 1861, m Annie C. PIERCE of Clinton, has (1) child, William Pierce, b 14 Jan 1890 7 Caroline Jane, b 15 Mar 1864, m Frederick J.
