    3. Romantic story with questions: My Scots grandfather, Alexander Allan and my Irish grandmother, Frances Margaret Harper met and fell in love while working for a wealthy Draper Family between 1908 and 1915. He was the good-looking chauffeur (a.k.a. coachman) and she, the stately red-headed upstairs maid. Q. Was the "wealthy Draper Family" limited to the Hopedale area? I suspect Alex and Frances were married in Clinton, Hopedale, Lancaster, Lowell, or Dracut, MA. They were protestant (Episcopalian). Their wedding photographs were taken in Clinton by O'Toole. Q. How can I locate their marriage when I can only hypothesize the year (1915) and the city? The Allan's first son carries the name of young Frederick, a son of his Draper employer, and a favorite of my grandfather. Q. Can someone locate Frederick Draper on the 1910 census? Perhaps Frances Harper, domestic servant, will be in the same household. I know Alexr. Allan lived in Lancaster during the 1910 census. Thank you, in advance, to the very helpful people on this list.
