Hi Pat: I may have found some information on your ancestor, Betsey Bartlett. I have 4 Betsy Bartletts in my program, but only one had a brother, Adam and it just happens that this particular Betsey married a Bowman, though I have his name as Sampson, rather than Simeon. The dates I have are also at variance with your dates. Anyway here goes: According to the Vital Statistics of Northboro, Betsey Bartlett was born 30 Nov. 1764 in Northboro, MA. She was the dau. of Jonathan Bartlett and Mary Holloway. They had married on 18 April, 1753 in Westboro, MA. They had 8 children for whom I have a record, including: 1. Adam B. son b. 27 Jul, 1754 in Marlboro; m. Persis Badcock/(Babcock) on 27 May 1792 in Northboro; d. 22 Jul 1828 or 1832 in Berlin. (Different dates from different sources.) 2. Zadock B. son b. 10 April, 1756 in Marlboro; m. Hannah Sever abt. 1780; d. date and place unknown. 3. Levinah B. dau. b. 18 Dec. 1757 in either Northboro or Westboro, MA; m. Silas Bailey. No further information. 4. William B. son b. 12 Aug, 1760 in Northboro or Westboro, MA.; m. Azubah Gleason 21 Feb, 1788. 5. Moly (aka Molly) B. dau. b. 9 May, 1762 in Northboro, MA; m. James Longley of Shrewsbury on 15 Jan, 1784. They had 11 children and resided in Boylston. She d. 27 Aug, 1831 at age 69. 6. Betsey B. dau. b. 30 Nov. 1764 in Northboro, MA.; m. Sampson Bowman on 31 Oct. 1797. 7. Jotham B. son b. 24 Aug, 1766 in Northboro, MA; m. Rachel Rice on 26 Jun, 1792 in Northboro, MA. 8. Jonathan B. son b. 8 Jul, 1770 in Northboro, MA; m. Molly Fawcett on 28 Mar, 1793. Can you cite a source for Betsey's death on 4 Jun, 1822, and indicate where she lived and where she died? Some of my information was supplemented by access that was granted me several years ago to the unpublished genealogy of Gilman Bigelow who had once been a Northboro Town Clerk.
