(8) Aaron GOODALE, son of Aaron (7) was born in West Boylston, MA, 30 Nov 1851. Educated in the public schools of his native town, at an Academy in Washington, VT, and at Howe's Business College, Worcester. When about 21 years old he became his father's assistant on the farm and in the ice business, and has ever since been engaged in these two occupations. He is a Republican in politics and has been active in town affairs since he became a voter. He has been overseer of the poor, trustee of the cemetery, and is at present chairman of the board of selectmen. He has represented his town in various representative and congressional conventions of the Republican party. He is past master of the Boylston Lodge of Freemasons, West Boylston, and for 3 years was a member of the Grand Lodge of Mass. He married Nellie G. MERRIAM, daughter of Francis and Lucy (WALKER) MERRIAM. Their children: 1 Leon Arvine, b 1 Mar 1876; civil enginner & surveyor; m Elsie M.
