    3. Hi All: Go to: http://www.legacy.com you can access many newspapers from different states each day and read the obits on line. In Worcester Co., MA. You can read the Fitchburg paper, the Milford paper, the Worcester paper and the Metro-west paper. Also there is the Providence Journal, and the Woonsocket Call. For the Woonsocket Call go to: http://www.woonsocketcall.com/site/news.asp?brd=1712 For the Worcester Telegram: http://www.telegram.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=OBITVIEW You can request obits for free from the Worcester Public Library. Do know the date of death. "Ask Any Librarian at: http://www.worcpublib.org/ If you are looking for other papers, the Springfield, MA Republican is on line as is the Hartford Courant, and the Manchester, CT paper. Quite often you will find items for Worcester Co., in those papers also. For members of NEHGS, you can read on line the Boston Globe, Worcester Telegram, and the Springfield Republican on line for back issues. You can also read current papers. Usually the next day after the date of issue. In some cases for a short time after the date of issue you can read the obits and sometimes there is no cost for the obit. You might try calling the newspaper you wish to get an obit from and they might send it to you at no charge. Always offer to pay though. Also go here: http://www.deathindexes.com/ This is the "monster" plus. You may be surprised at what you find here. The regular Monster site is: http://home.att.net/~wee-monster/deathrecords.html Regards, Alison Franks Archivist, Rawson Family Association
