I grew up in Worcester and am closer to home now than I have been in decades (currently living in South Hadley, Mass., after many years in Maine and 2 in Colorado.) I'm immersed in Polish genealogy; my grandparents all settled in Worcester in 1910-1914, emigrating from tiny villages in what is now the Lida area of western Belarus. They all said they came "from Wilno," the "gubernia" or province whose seat was Wilno/now Vilnius, Lithuania. Main surname = Prokopowicz. Also one of my cousins is researching her Irish roots in Worcester, surname Londergan (which seems to have several spelling variations). Yes, it's very interesting to see who's on the list :) and what we're all looking for. Barbara
