I live in Austin, Texas. I moved here two and a half years ago from Buffalo, NY. I grew up in northeastern New York State, as did my mother. My father and all of his ancestors were from Pennsylvania, my mother's mother was from Northampton, Massachusetts, and my mother's father was born in MOntreal but grew up in Boston and Northampton. For the woman who lives in Rochester, the Buffalo and Erie County Library, main library, special collections department, ahs a rich collection of New England material; town and family histories, the vital records books, and LOTS of published genealogies of families from that area. Particularly Massachusetts and Connecticut. I am researching the surname RAYMOND. They lived for several generations in and near Worcester in the 18th and 19th centuries. I would greatly LOVE to work out a research exchange project with someone in the Worcester area who needs some research done in Texas, or even concerning the south and midwest, as the state archives here has alot of resources on the general area from which people tended to immediately migrate to Texas. Or something that I have unusual access to, such as the entire US census through 1910 and some states for 1920. Or even something people could probably research elsewhere but may not have access to, such as a large collection of FTM's and Automated Archives CD's, Griffiths Evaluation Index (Ireland) and that sort of thing.
