Some of my Raymond ancestors who came to Worcester County had alot of contact with two places called Jaffrey and Ringe. This is particularly a bunch who lived in Winchendon, on the northern boundary of the state. Form the web I suspect that Ringe and Jaffery or Jaffrey are places in New Hampshire but I cannot verify this. Yahoo finds no Jaffrey or Ringe in Massachusetts, a Jaffrey in New Hampshire a couple of miles north of the state line, almost due north of Worcester and therefore not far from Winchendon. Yahoo claims no Ringe exists. I actually have some Raymond stuff from a History of Jaffrey, but no clue where is Jaffrey. I had assumed it was in Massachusetts. The web claims The West Ringe in Massachusetts is the site of a UFO landing in 1947, which suggests to me that descendants of my Raymond ancestors were still around there in 1947 - and that is about it.
