CASWELL Jr.,82, of South Sreet in East Douglas and of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., a retired machinist, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at his home. His wife, Beatrice I. (DUDLEY) CASWELL, died in 1984. He leaves a son, Duty E. CASWELL III of Dougas: a daughter, Sue E. REARDON of Douglas and St. Cloud, Fla.: a sister, Dorothy HARNOIS of New Smyrna: eight grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; and two nephews. He was born in Douglas, son of Duty E. and Susan F. (ALDRICH) CASWELL, and attended Douglas public schools. Mr. CASWELL was a machinist at Whitn Machine Works, Whitinsville section of Northbridge, retiring several years ago. During WWII he manufactured magnetos for ar crafts and tanks. He was a membe of First Congregational Church of Douglas. He was also a memberof the Douglas Grange 102 and the Mumford River Lodge of Masons for more than 50 years. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in First Congregational Church of Douglas, Douglas Common. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetary. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday Nov 8, at Buma Funeral Home,10 North Main St. (Route 122), Uxbridge. A Masonic riual will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at the funeral home.
