    1. [MAWORCES] Worcester Genealogical Research

    3. On a whim, I went to Worcester City Hall today to buy a copy of my mother's birth certificate. There was a large display rack next to the clerk's window, full of genealogy information, including a 3-page, colored instruction sheet called, "How to Map Your Heritage." http://www.ci.worcester.ma.us/clerk/index I also went to the new Public Library at the old location (Salem Street, in downtown area.) All I can say is..."WOW!" On the third floor in this library, there is extensive materials available to people, including censuses on microfiche, books of vital records for many parts of the country, etc... I didn't know where to begin! I met a nice lady there who was doing research. She educated me about other genealogical resources in the area, including a genealogy society that meets once a month in Auburn, Ma. Anyway...just wanted to share that with you. Margie
