    3. Betty, The following link might help you. It provides information about Colonial Government Grants, etc. that influenced the settlement of Windham County, VT. http://www.rootsweb.com/~vermont/WindhamCoTownshend05.html My 5th great grandfather, John HAZELTINE, came to VT from Worcestor County, MA. Your mention of the FISHER family intrigued me. John HAZELTINE's grandson, David Hazeltine, in 1812 married as his second wife a Nancy FISHER of Townsend, VT. I have been trying to find more information about her, but so far have come up empty. Any leads? --Kathleen Canney Barber ----- Original Message ----- From: "Betty Clingman" <bj213@bellsouth.net> To: <MAWORCES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 23, 2002 6:43 PM Subject: [MAWORCES] 1770's migration from MA to VT > Hi friends, > My ancestors, along with many other people, moved from Massachusetts to > Vermont in the years just preceding the Revolutionary War.
