    3. Hi, I want to thank everyone who responded to my post about migration from MA to VT. I found your answers both informative and thought provoking. It appears that the reasons for moving to VT were varied. Likewise, it appears that our perceptions of the reasons for moving are equally varied. I would love to hear more on this subject.     3. It's interesting that alot of people didn't know if they were in New York or Canada. I wonder if that applied to Lake George? It is about 90 miles from the Canadian border, I wonder if the people from New England who settled there aboaut the time of the Revolutionary War to soon after could have thought they were in Canada?
