It wasn't the Wachusett she was asking about - it was the Quabbin Reservoir. They drowned 4 towns to build it - Dana, Prescott, Greenwich & Enfield. http://massmoments.org/moment.cfm?mid=182 Lisa ----- Original Message ----- From: <jmfischer@verizon.net> Although Wachusett Reservoir does supply some of the water needs of Boston, no town was entirely lost with its building. Only parts of West Boylston and perhaps Boylston as well. Original Message: ----------------- From: Clark W. Nicholls cwn66@aol.com I think she means the West Boylston reservoir where parts of W. Although Wachusett Reservoir does supply some of the water needs of Boston, no town was entirely lost with its building. Only parts of West Boylston and perhaps Boylston as well. Marcia, Are you referring to the lost towns of the Quabbin Reservoir? There were 4 towns lost to make way for this body of water. Dana, Prescott, Enfield & Greenwich. There is an "Images of America" book published on the subject. If you google Quabbin and lost towns there is alot of information on the web. Jane Fischer Leominster Historical Soc.
