    1. [MAWORCES] CLARK - MACKLEM - MONTGOMERY, of Rutland
    2. Some time ago I was sent information on the Clark families of MA, VT and other places. The one family I am now working on for verification/further information is that of Lt. John Clark, Jr., was born 1704 in Londonderry, Ireland; d. July 11, 1742, in Rutland, Worcester, MA, and had wives: (1) Mary MacClem [spell that many ways] and 2nd wife Catherine Montgomery. Is there anyone else working on these families? Besides verification/more information on Clark, I am hoping to get more information on the MacClem/Meklem/whatever family as I seem to have two lines of descent of this surname and have been able to find very little on them. I do know that I am descended from Andrew MacClem/Meklem and wife Isabel for the next generation of Clark. Olive California

    1. [MAWORCES] Database Update--DARLING and Related Lines
    2. MoonMistress
    3. Hey All! I was going to wait until 6/21 to do this but in honor of Memorial Day, I have updated the http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=moonmistress2 database on my site. Last count it held just over 1100 names....it is now up to a whopping 1848 names! I would say about 85 to 90% are the surname DARLING but several related names have been added as well. I can't take a lot of the credit, it goes to a very wonderful man who has been aiding me with the lines of Denice Darling. This man spent several months tracing the first four generations of Denice's lines and then sent it to me for comparison, he allowed me to add the information to the database and put it online. Many Darling mysteries have finally been solved...yeah! The information is based on vital records and the work of Adelia Darling. Where discrepancies exist I have noted them and you'll have to do some investigation on your own. Two new lines have been added, though they are very small at the moment, I hope they will grow. Descendants have been added for Richard DARLING and Abigail MESSENGER as well as for John DARLING and Elizabeth DOWNAM. That John DARLING is possibly the brother of Denice DARLING but no solid proof exists as of yet. I hope to get the rest of the site updated in the very near future until then... I hope you all have fun cruising through the database! Happy Ancestor Hunting! and Happy Memorial Day! 1. [MAWORCES] Help with Hammond Line
    2. Bob
    3. I don't know if these are the correct forum for me to ask this question, but I'm hoping if not, someone can point me in the right direction. If I can verify this information I can start putting a little meat on the bones. I have documentation from myself back through Any help would be appreciated ....... Thanks, Bob Aldrich I'm looking for verification of the following line from William Hammond to me: William Hammond was born in London, County Kent, England, and there married Elizabeth Penn, sister of the Admiral Sir William Penn, and aunt to William Penn the Quaker. William Hammond died and was buried in London, and was probably descended from the Hammonds of St. Albans Court, County Kent, England. His children were: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Martha and Rachel. These children were all born in London, County Kent, England. Elizabeth Hammond, widow of William, with her son Benjamin and three daughters, all young, left a good estate in London and came over to New England in the troublesome times of 1634, from a desire to have liberty to serve God according to the dictates of their consciences. They arrived in Boston, September 18, 1634 in the ship Griffin, and had with them the Rev. John Lothrop, their minister. Mrs. Hammond lived in Boston and in Watertown, Mass. until the year 1638, when she joined Rev. John Lothrop's church in Scituate, April 16, 1638, being the 33rd member of said church. (1) William Hammond and Elizabeth Penn (2) Benjamin Hammond and Mary Vincent (3) John Hammond and Mary Arnold (4) Rowland Hammond and (1) Ann Winslow (2) Lydia Bonum (3) Mary Southworth (5) Capt. George Hammond and Lucy Sturtevant (6) George Hammond and Lucy Southworth (7) George Hammond and Sarah P. White (8) Henry Van Orsdoll and Sarah Hammond (9) George Hammond Van Orsdoll and Sarah E. Thatcher (10) Walter Hammond Van Orsdoll and Julia Sanders (11) Lorena L. Van Orsdoll and Vian L. Williams (12) Julia June Williams and Lawrence Daniel Aldrich (13) Robert A. Aldrich and (1) Nancy K. 1. [MAWORCES] FULLER, Jacob - Athol 1800
    2. Is there anyone who has been researching a Jacob FULLER who d. Athol May 1800? I have been unsuccessful in finding a will for him and I am most curious about his children. I have never been able to solve my Fuller line after several years of searching, and in checking misc. Fullers to find parents for my Abel Fuller I am thinking it might be possible that Jacob had a son Abel. I am not currently near any FHL so most of my research via FHL was done in years past. I have been in contact, snail mail days, w/various Fuller Assns and persons doing research for same - no conclusions from the wealth of Fuller information found. Still no parents for my Abel Fuller born, supposedly, 07 Jul 1773 in Rehoboth [this according to Heverly in one of his books on Bradford County, PA - no sources of course and no matter how many times I search VRs of Rehoboth for this birth it has never been found]. So: if someone has knowledge of children of Jacob Fuller who d. Athol or has access to his will or know of parents for my "orphan" Abel Fuller, would love to hear about it. Olive California
