I am not completely sure about harwick et. al., but the two marlboroughs are just alternate spellings for the same town. Hi I'm from the Cape Fear regions of NC, both of my parents were raised in the Worcester area. Looking for JEWELL, OAKLEY, BARKER, DIGGINS, McGLINCHEY/McCLINCY of Worcester County and Mahetable DAVIS of Rutland. ALSO, does any one know anything about the NURSES of the Medical Corps during the Civil War. I recently sent for the service record of Emily Rebecca Ames Jewell. I received back a post card saying no records are available. Thanks, Marianne
ISO the parents/siblings of Hannah FULLER b: Jul 28, 1742, m: Elijah BABBITT, May 22, 1766, Berkeley, Bristol, MA. Hannah d: Aug 28, 1820, in Dana, Worcester, MA. She was buried in the (now extinct) Dana Centre Cemetery. Elijah BABBITT d: Mar 11, 1814. He was also buried in Dana Centre Cemetery. In 1944, Hannah and Elijah BABBITT were moved to the new Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware, MA. as Dana was to become a "lost" city due to the making of Quabbin Reservoir. They are buried in lots 1562 and 1563. It has been told to me that you can still see the ruins of Dana, in the water, if you fly over the reservoir. Hannah FULLER "could" have been born in Greenwich, Hampshire, MA. and there was a Hannah FULLER born circa 1842 in Barnstable, MA to Nathaniel FULLER and Abigail (Hickley(sp) FULLER, but I can't prove the Hannah's are one and the same. Elijah was b: in Dighton, MA. settled in Greenwich and after 1780, removed to Dana. I have driven myself crazy trying to prove who Hannah's parents were. Any suggestions as to where I might find this? Part my info on Elijah and Hannah come from the book, "The Babbitt Family History" by William Bradford BROWN. Their burial in Quabbin comes from Terry Campbell of Quabbin Park Cemetery Visitor's Center. If there is anyone on the list that lives close to Ware, MA. and would be willing to go to Quabbin Park Cemetery on Rte. 9 and take photos of Elijah and Hannah's tombstones, I would be more than happy to pay for their time and trouble. Please e-mail me off list. Thanks, Mary Miller marykell@aol.com
I live in the suburbs of Chicago. I am researching the COTEY line out of East Brookfield area and the HINCKLEY line out of Spencer. Is anyone researching either of these? The time frame is 1850 to 1860's. Will appreciate any information about either of these lines. Regards and happy hunting, Patty

Harwich in in Barnstable Co, on Cape Cod. South shore between Dennis and Chatham, south of Brewster. Hardwick is in Worcester Co., just east of the Quabin Resevior. There is no city or town named "Harwick" in Massachusetts. I don't know if there is any village anyway by that name, but I've never heard of one. "Marlboro" and "Marlborough" are the same city in Middlesex Co., look for the Intersection if I-495 and US-20 on a road map. All the "boro's" (Marlbough, Westborough, Southborough & Northborough) in Central Mass go by either spelling. There seem to be many Lynch's from this area (Southern Worcester County.) Today I spent time in St. Mary's Cemetery in Uxbridge and saw many gravesites with the name LYNCH. Could any of them be "yours"? Margie ----- Original Message ----- From: T. A. I don't know. I haven't been able to locate the parents of my Jesse Lynch/Linch from VA. There were no other Lynch/Linch families in that area before and many related branches came down from MA. I just haven't been able to get over that brick wall. I will pull out my notes and post them here by this weekend. Right now I have been focusing on my freind's genealogy which is the Russo, Croteau, and Dauphinais families of Fitchburg. His family is Italian and French. Most of my line is English and Irish, PHIPPS being my maiden name. Thanks! Terry Phipps Lane Lititz, PA

Hi, Can someone please tell me if Harwick, Hardwick, and Harwich MA are all one and the same place, or are they different towns? In one of my lines, I have all of these listed for different folks. Also, Marlboro and Marlborough; are they the same place, just spelled differently by different people? I'm confoozed! Thanks in advance, Pat Dyer in FL
Hi! I live in Tallahassee, FL and I'm researching Worcestor County for HARE, WRAY, MAGINNIS, MARTIN, KOCH, VIENOT, WORDEN & JEFFRIES. Through a recommendation from a list member, I was able to secure the obituary notice for William H. HARE, connecting me to an unknown sister in Menominee, MI. While Rachel died in 1948, her descendants still have her bible and many stories to share. Her bible contains a copy of her 1882 marriage certificate, with a witness that brings me much closer to confirming their Canadian origin . . . AND we have MORE distant cousins! Thanks for your help list serve! Teri
I am researching McGinnis/Callahan from Blackstone MA 1850-1920's. Most of the McGinnis's moved to Minnesota in 1860's but some remained behind and married into the Callahan line. I am from St. Paul Minnesota but currently live in Omaha NE. Would the researcher who offerered to do some Blackstone library lookups for me please contact me again as my PC crashed and I lost your email addresss. Thanks Tom Gerber
