My own post that I'm replying ot didn't appear yet, I hope that doesn't have something to do with three new e-mails about posts not posting! I tried making yahoo display all the cities in New Hampshire. It found Ringe. Though it still can't label it on its own map. Ringe is maybe 6 miles northeast of Winchendon, jus tnorth of the state line. Jaffrey is another four or five miles north of Ringe. West Ringe where the UFO crashed is a mile or two west of Ringe. Anyone know of anyone named Raymond, Perry, Hunt, Stratton, Davis still lived around there in 1947? Dora __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? HotJobs - Search Thousands of New Jobs http://www.hotjobs.com
Some of my Raymond ancestors who came to Worcester County had alot of contact with two places called Jaffrey and Ringe. This is particularly a bunch who lived in Winchendon, on the northern boundary of the state. Form the web I suspect that Ringe and Jaffery or Jaffrey are places in New Hampshire but I cannot verify this. Yahoo finds no Jaffrey or Ringe in Massachusetts, a Jaffrey in New Hampshire a couple of miles north of the state line, almost due north of Worcester and therefore not far from Winchendon. Yahoo claims no Ringe exists. I actually have some Raymond stuff from a History of Jaffrey, but no clue where is Jaffrey. I had assumed it was in Massachusetts. The web claims The West Ringe in Massachusetts is the site of a UFO landing in 1947, which suggests to me that descendants of my Raymond ancestors were still around there in 1947 - and that is about it. Where are these places? Yours, Dora Smith __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? HotJobs - Search Thousands of New Jobs http://www.hotjobs.com

Does anyone have any info. on Alice Croteau who was born about 1882, Quebec or Fitchburg, died 1928, Fitchburg, she was married to Reme Dauphinais b. abt 1900-1910 and d. abt. 1960 in Fitchburg. Also looking for parents of Clarinda/Clarina Bedard, spouse of Joseph Dauphinais, b 1879 Quebec, d 1961 in Fitchburg.

>From the Worcester Vital Records CD Charlton Births we have a Paul Wheelock son of Paul and Bulah b. Mar. 8, 1785. Paul and Bulah Johnson married Charlton, Sept. 30, 1779. If your John/Paul died 1848 this seems a reasonable choice. However the name is originally Paul. There is also a Charlton Marriage of John and Lydia Davis 4/16/1787. Could he be son of these two? Paul and Lydia E. Wood m. Charlton, Nov. 13, 1837. Shrewsbury births pg 107 Paul s, of Paul and Thankful Oct. 6.1750. What is the source of the name change and approximate date? He appears as Paul in marriage record. Haven't found death yet. What was age at death? Steve.
I have obtained many records. It is an effort sometimes for the clerk to be pleasant. She is rarely pleasant! I just mean one in particular. Barbara
What time frame are the lost records? Sharon << Here in New Haven genealogy researchers can have full access to the records on Wed. AM >> You will not be given access to any of the "Town of Worcester" records, as they are "Lost", not that you would be allowed to handle any of the City records they can locate. The City Clerk, Mr. David Rushford, claims to have looked for the old vital records but can not find them. He claims they have been lost for a long time. Since before 1982 or so. Yet those books were filmed by the Holbrook Institute around that time. He should look again and, if the records can not be found, an investigation should be conducted. Anyone agree? John
