My daugher plays/played (upon MY insistance!) violin for 9 years though her schooling and I can imagine what she would say/think! (Blessed be your relative that HAD a stratovarious (or however it's spelled :-)! And I can imagine the fit on the new veneer! I just bought my daughter last year another violin as she always relieved "stress" with it and I thought it might do her good. ( Trust me...it wasn't a stratovarious! hehe!)
