Bill and I have had many favorite 4-legged sons and daughters, really only 2 sons. All but 2 have been "Daddy's girls". The 2 that were mine were very small dogs. Even our Irish Setter was his "girl". We have wonderful memories of the Setter, the beagle, the dachshund, etc. each with their special personalities and tricks of the trade. We loved each one of them and when they died or we HAD to put them down, we both cried mucho. When Spanky (our current dtr) goes, Bill says no more because it hurts to much - but in the almost 44 yrs of marriage we have only been 2 months without a pup in the house.
