Hey Sandi sorry I didn't get back to last night but it gets late early around here or at least it seems that way with the time change. Robyn is a type A diabetic she been giving herself shots ever since she was nine years old, it was a challenge at first but when you know your life depends on it you can adjust to anything, you have to. Lucky for her though she never was big on sweets and was always the kind of person who ate the proper foods. She's 20 now and doing great and diabetes has become a way of life for her. Tony. My sister Barbara Ann also developed diabetes around the age of 9. But she wasn't so good, she was ver difficult and it was much more difficult for a child more than 40 yr. ago. She ended up a rigid diabetic. Had a kidney transplant and was one of the first to have laser surgery on her eyes. She died at 30 from a angerizem. Hi Jackie Had an uncle on mom's side that didn't take good care of himself he ended up had an ingrown toenail that got infected on him and ended up losing half his foot then his ankle and eventually his leg up to his knee, as if that weren't enough he also lost his eye sight and it finally got the best of him, at least my daughter got to see what would happen if you didn't take care of yourself, he said at least he could serve as a bad example.
