Sunlight without sunglasses and smoking cause cataracts too. Take Vit C,Folic Acid and E. Also Lutein for the eyes. My dogs had cloudy eyes and I put them on antioxidants and Lutein. Their eyes are no longer cloudy. I did nothing else like change their food etc. Lynn P.S. A friend of mine had a grandchild born with a cataract.
