Jackie >> Jackie: I remember when women started going out to work and let others take care of their children. Stay at home mothers looked down on them. Then the tide turned and stay at home mothers were looked down on by those who were REALLY working! As if they still didn't have to work around the house when they got home. And, they missed out on being there for their children. I wouldn't change being a stay at home mother if I had it to do over again. It was well worth it! Over those years I also had a lot of children at my house who had working mothers. Sandi
Boy did you hit a nerve! While I was home taking care of my kids, doing my own work and helping out at school. The "working" Mom's was too busy to do anything, I ended up as the neighborhood play ground, mother of all and the teacher of manners! I see some of these young people today and they still remember coming and playing at our house!
