I made sure I went to Colorado at least four times a years! This way I stayed acclimated. Slept on a lot of floors in a sleeping bag. Some times drove the whole time-the whole time with a cat nap here and there. Took the back seat out of the Suburban and put in a single air mattress,packed enough food for several days and went!
