    3. Sounds like a great place! I am ready to move north. TX is running out of water. Air pollution is really bad and getting worse. Prices going ever higher. Haven't really decided on MO but it looks good. Draw a line through St.Louis East and West and anything along this line is a consideration. Sounds like you found a good place. The only constant in Metaphysics is change! You just have to find a place that changes into your specifications. New dog goes for heart worm treatment tomorrow. Hope everything turns out well. I can never get out of the "caretaker" mode! I would buy my cousin's house in Washington,MO but she sold most of the land that went with it. I would really rather be in the country on some acreage. I would like some real dirt!!! Went to a Civil War re-enactment over the weekend. They mentioned Picket's Charge as did Ken Burns "Civil War" on PBS. Next year is the 140th year of the Gettysburg Re-enactment. I am thinking about going. The Maupins lost so much family at Picket's charge. Ken Burn's PBS series even showed the rock wall where the Maupins died. It was a Massacre. I have a couple of table spoons of Maupin dirt from the Taliafero-Cole house in Williamsburg so need to add some Gettysburg "dirt" to the collection. I have been a medieval recreationist so it will be fun to move forward in time! I got offered a job sewing costumes as there are few people who know how to sew. I have a costume to make for a Renaissance Faire in Nov. in TX. My fabric is beautiful. Any Houston Maupins going to the Renaissance Faire this year in Magnolia,TX? Getting much needed rain. Cannot complain about the weather in TX this year. However, since El Nino has begun again it is time to use this coolness to full advantage! La Nina will give us a drought again. I wonder why this ~ is on my keyboard and I cannot use it where it belongs(over the second n in Nino and Nina). Dogs playing and barking and "singing" to each other. My new dog is funny looking. She defies description except to say-Terrier with Chihuahua eyes and a shorter muzzle, body like a Terrier or Whippet, hair and tail like a Basenji! My vet said she is healthy except for heart worms. He would not even guess as to her lineage!!! She is a sweetheart. I am her fourth home and she will stay with us. She only has to learn to leave the cats alone. If at all possible, The Ken Burns special on PBS "The Civil War" is a must see!!!! I wish I had taken notes.
