To my astonishment, it is the local Girl Scout delivering her cookies! I told her mother that she was nuts to be out in this kind of weather. Pat

Those big ol' men in their double-wheeled trash trucks didn't get out on the roads, but this mother was dragging around a 9 year old and a 3 year old to deliver cookies! And they complained because there was ice on our front porch....Amazing! Jim just went outside to find our heat pump had ice all over it and he was trying to get it un-frozen so that the thing would work right. Even the neighborhood cats aren't walking around today, and I saw a squirrel only once. I have been throwing away magazines and catalogs and dusting the bookshelves! Now, just let him say that I am a packrat! Just let him! BTW: one can never have too many bookcases. Pat
