Hi Sandi, Glad you're happy with your new chair. Been wanting to ask you, while on board ship I read a headline about earthquake hitting west of Los Angeles toward Simi. Apparently you are O.K. but was that near you? Norma

Jackie We were just having a conversation about this yesterday. Every house needs some "new" rooms. For example, a computer room that might double as an exercise room. Then, we need a sewing room that could double as a laundry room and storage room. I have my bicycle in my computer room because it is too hot in the garage for it. The rubber in the tires and tubes and the foam in the saddle all deteriorate in the summer heat. Who needs a dining room? We hardly ever use it! We don't have a formal living room.... Pat

I have found with the chair that I use at the computer, a foot rest is really important. Do you know the type I mean? I seem to have a tendency to sit leaning slightly to one side and that makes my back hurt eventually. If I put my feet on the foot rest, it keeps me centered, and, occasionally, I tilt it back and forth to keep the blood pumping up my legs. When I worked at Alcon, all of the people had footrests---either company supplied or they brought in their own ones from home. Pat

Earlier this past fall, my husband locked himself out. Instead of calling me at work he found the only window that I had not "winterized." It so happened to be the one in my everything room. He shinnied in the window knocking over several plants and many papers. And he thought I wouldn't notice! Jackie
Jackie: We have a large bedroom and that is where my genealogy, computer, etc. all are and I have to take time out, now and then, to get things cleaned up. The cats come in and just have to knock things off this and that and I just noticed a pile on the floor! ARRGH! Sandi =^..^=
If I don't get this "room" straightened up. I will need more than a comfortable chair, I will not be able to get to the computer. That is my project for tomorrow. The "room" is my sewing room, clothes room, flower room, storage room and anything else you don't know where to put room. Right now there is hardly room for my big butt! Jackie

Jackie >> Jackie: Don't worry about it! We are family. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable about writing to this site. I have another chat list for another list I run and a number of the people there can't spell worth a hoot and don't use spell check. We know what they mean, which is the important part, and they are really nice people. I went out shopping today and bought a good task chair and just love it! It was more $ than I really wanted to pay but I figured it was worth it as my back and derrier are both confortable. While looking another gal and I started visiting as we tried out the various models. We both bought the same model and went to the counter together. The guy waiting on us thought we were together. She and I both laughed since we'd never set eyes on each other before. Kitten (daughter Kathleen) put the chair together for me and I was pleased. What a gal! It sure didn't take her long. Today is the best day of the whole year for shopping because of the Super Bowl. I went to various places here in Simi and didn't have a problem with parking. Well, I'm happy with my great chair! I know y'all just wanted to hear about this all. Hee, hee. Sandi =^..^=
Well, you all might as well know up front, I am the worse speller there is. I use spell check. Jackie
There it goes again. I wonder if this will happen every time I try to reply??? Anyway, I don't mind being corrected as long as it meant with good intentions. Norma
O.K. If the spitting was from laughing, I'll probably give you quite a few. I have astigmatism and misspell and skip things even with my glasses. Norma
