Boy am I old. Norma
Dear Jackie: I understand perfectly. My husband's always interrupting me, "They don't want to hear about your ancestors!" I could just smack him. I expect people to listen and learn, if interested, because I think everyone should research his/her ancestors. When I encounter someone that isn't interested, they soon let me know by a look or a comment and I change the subject. Could it be my husband is jealous? Norma
Driving to town this morning on the Interstate, I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a brand new Mustang doing 65 miles per hour with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner! I looked away for a couple seconds and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on the makeup!!! It scared me so bad I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the donut out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my other ear which fell into the coffee between my legs and DISCONNECTED AN IMPORTANT CALL!!!!!!! DAMN WOMEN DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard from a number of people in that area and they are saying the situation is really bad. A Fitzpatrick in Dallas CO, TX emailed and said they are having snow. It sure is cold here because we have snow on the high mountains and wind. I'm trying to keep being cold in my memory to pull out when the hot weather starts. Sandi

It snowed for two days, finally stopped this afternoon. It's a really wet snow which we need so badly. The roads never did get bad. On the other hand, my daughter who lives in Enid is STILL without electricity from the ice storm over a week ago, and yesterday was the first day the schools opened. The tree damage up there is just horrible. She lives in the historic section of town where there were so many old, old trees, and most of them are gone. While talking to her during the storm I heard a terrible noise and it was a large tree that cracked and fell against the side of their house. Thank goodness it missed windows. They have a major clean up to do. She said firetrucks were out pulling the bigger trees that had fallen, out of the streets. We were very lucky. The ice storm line stopped just about 15 miles North of us. Dar Norma. You hit the nail on the head! That is exactly how I feel and I have to stop myself from sharing the newly learned triumphs of my ancestors with everybody. They think I am bragging and I am but not in the way they are thinking. Not for being a snob. But that I do know something of my ancestors! Thanks for understanding. Jackie
Mary, Sometimes I'm not sure. Vicki
Mary: Chickasha relatives and email friends have emailed to say they have snow. Any down your way? Sandi in cold Southern California

Sandi, Of course, I'm physco. Vicki
Sandi, That makes sense to me since the family tradition says he came from Penn to Iowa to work the mines. Thanks. Vicki
