Particularly on bad nights, I keep moving and keep hubby awake and he is grumpy then. Besides the couch rests better for me. Poor couch, just wore out.:) The bed is elevated for him and it bothers my back on bad days. Any idea what causes it? Jackie

    2. Hi BF, Just thought I would let you know we had a wonderful time researching at the Clayton. It is a lovely facility and the folks there are very helpful. We did have great success on our "other" side of the family. We are Maupins through our mother and were working on our father's side on this trip. After putting together some research we had done in South Caroline, we were able to search out some leads at the Clayton and actually identified our great grandmother and both of her parents with several generations back from them! We had thought the names we had would be our patermal g great grandmother, but they turned out to be our g grandfather and by searching wills, we found out his wife's name, too. It was VERY exciting. We had to come home a day earlier than planned because I developed bronchitis and have been down with it since returning. I am anxious to go to the library here in San Antonio to see what else I can find about our new discovery. Thanks for the encouraging words about the Clayton. I think you blessed our trip! Best regards, Patricia In a message dated 02/03/2002 1:58:36 PM Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: > > > Don't be ill at ease, just be careful.

    1. [MAUPIN-CHAT] Believe it or not
    2. Thought this was interesting-- Regards, Patricia Believe it or not but 8.02pm on February 20 this year will be an historic moment in time. It will not be marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of bells, but at that precise time, on that specific date, something will happen which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again. As the clock ticks over from 8.01pm on Wednesday, February 20, time will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002, 2002, 2002, or to be more precise - 20:02, 20/02, 2002. This historic event will never have the same poignancy as the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month which marks Armistice Day, but it is an event which has only ever happened once before, and is something which will never be repeated. The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was long before the days of the digital watch and the 24-hour clock at 10.01am on January 10, 1001. And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will never happen again.

    2. Has anyone in the family had much to do with muscle spasms? I have had them for years and have no idea why or what causes them or what I can do to stop them. They take spells of being better then they will get bad and actually leave bruises. I have asked the doctor and haven't gotten a straight answer. Jackie
