Good Morning: Re the OK research and records of J.P. Court or "Clerk of the Peace". You must know the individual's name and the type of charge against them. Then call the Court Clerk with the case # and names. In most cases, criminal charges would be found in the criminal courts; property claims, probate etc in the County Clerk's Office, Call the County Clerk in the county you are dealing with and ask for the "COURT CLERK" . This is where you should begin in any state if the Co. Clerk's office has nothing on file. If you call the County Clerk's office and ask for the "Court Clerk" or the "Clerk of the Peace". they will transfer you or give you the phone number. Hope this helps. cf ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 05, 2003 4:22 PM Subject: [MAUPIN-L] *Justice*of*the*Peace* > Hi All: > > I have an OK researcher friend who is trying to find records of Justice of > Peace officers in an OK County.
