Hi cousins, I have been attending the FULTON reunion since 1985. It has not always been on the first weekend because of problems scheduling the community center on the first weekend. In those cases usually the 2nd weekend was selected, but this sometimes conflicts with Fathers Day. Prior to my starting to attend the reunion it was held for several years in Columbia, Missouri. As far as I kno it has never been set in cement as to either time or plade and the question has been asked at every reunion I have attended. The community center is convienent, low cost, air conditioned, recently remodled and expanded, has a kitchen and is always clean and neat. We are also very lucky in that Dru Maupin, our current president, lives in Fulton. With the location opportunities are available at several courthouses, local libraries, the University of Missouri, the Missouri State Historical Society and many other facilities in Kansas City and Saint Louis, depending on your plans and legnth of stay. The usual attendance on Sunday is about 50 buthas been near 100 on occasion. The Saturday gathering has been as high as 30 or so by the time we called it quits for the night. There are a few, 10 t0 15, who appear at almost every meeting and gathering, but the fun is meeting those who are there for the first time or have been absent for a while. We know it is not the perfect meeting time for all. This is one reason it is encouraged that other reunions be held, like one held in California a few years ago. I think it is a GOOD idea to have some place to POST all that are planned and perhaps some of us can attend more than one, I love them...
