I read with interest that some family members can not attend the MO reunion because it is held the 1st w/e of June. So, with the reunion held the first w/e of June for the past several years, I was curious to find out when the reunion date was changed. I have Dorothy's newsletters from 1980. Prior to 1993, the MO reunion was generally held the 2nd w/e of June - several as late as the last w/e of June. In 1990 the date was moved to the "1st Sunday of June, rather than the second. It was the only time available", as quoted in the Christmas letter Dorothy sent out December 1989 In 1992 the reunion was held June 27th in Fulton; , 1993 on June 27th; 1994 on June 12th. The next couple were the 2nd w/e of June but held, ie., June 8 or June 9, June 10 etc. There has been discussion re the meeting date for the past 2 years. It apparently is not set in stone; each year, a Reunion officer can schedule the next year's date as quickly as possible to get the desirable date. This might again be a topic of discussion at the Reunion in June. These are just my observations. "Just stating the facts ma'am." cf ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2003 2:23 PM Subject: Re: [MAUPIN-L] RE: 2003 Reunions > In a message dated 2/4/2003 8:04:48 AM Mountain Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > > > > I just want to clarify Loren Adams' response concerning the Fulton > > > Reunion.
