A., wounded in action at Guyandotte" (Cabell Co. WV). The index also states he is not listed in the compiled service records but is listed in the 1880s Hardesty. I was personally curious about the Maupins due to a connection with my husband's lines via the Blessings/Thomases of Mason Co. WV, and also because of an association with the Maupins in Cabell Co. WV with my Sexton line; my gg grandfather was 8th VA Cav Co. E and is buried at the Maupin Cem. in Cabell Co. WV. I was looking primarily to determine who Lindsey's parents were and what connection they might have, if any, to the Cabell County Maupins.
