My gr gr gr grandmother was Eliza J Maupin, born Aug 1823, in Tennessee. I have her death certificate from 1906 in McDonald county, Missouri, which states her maiden name. She married Bartholomew Spence in August 22, 1839 in Williamson county, Tennessee. I haven't been able to locate them on the 1850. Here are census records I do have for her. Marsha, I could be wrong, but I am sure that someone will correct me if I am. This is what I found and how I think your line goes: On the 1830 Williamson Tn census I found this; Jessee Maupin listed 1830 Williamson Co. TN census, 4 sons; 1 under 5, 1 5-10, 1 10-15 and one 15-20, 2 daughters, 1 under 5, 1, 5-10 He and his wife were both in their 50-60. This I am not sure of, but if Albert Maupin is reading this these days and replying I am sure he will let you know and especially if I am wrong! Marsha, Also, if this IS the right line, then aside from the Dents being in MD, and if possible Jesse served in the service as his brother George did (I think), there were Dent's in NC.
