    3. From what I understand the Fulton Reunions are potluck and they are casual. The ones in VA, however, were research based, with lectures from people about the region in France where the Maupins came from, where they landed in VA, where they settled, etc, including a lot of documentation about how counties had morphed into other counties. The Fulton Reunion seems to be (and I have never been to one) a yearly thing, whereas the VA reunions were three day events with several formal dinners/lunches in the hotel that was booked, etc. One speaker was the Historian from UVA, where Dr. Soctrates Maupin was Chairman of the Faculty, and there have been many other distinguished speakers. It was held in the Rotunda of UVA, which is almost never allowed for outside groups. It is wholly different than Fulton which I think is an outdoor event.
