I may be in Albemarle Co. VA this summer. Can anyone tell me if the burial grounds of Daniel Maupin and wife, Margaret (Via) Maupin are accessible to visitors? I would like to see visit their graves. Thanks, Heidi

Heidi, I'm not sure if I have all my facts straight as it has been awhile since I talked to the gentleman who lives on the farm - Daniel and Margaret are buried on the family farm in White Hall, Albemarle Co. The man who farms it I believe is Dan Maupin, a descendant from Jacob's side (I could very well be butchering this info as I don't have notes infront of me). I was able to get in contact with him after contacting the Mt. Moriah Church in Albemarle. The pastor is very very nice and willing to help. I think he'd only been on the job a couple of weeks when I talked to him. You might try going that route to see if Dan would let you stop by. He said the graves are marked with a recent marker placed by the family on the 200th anniversary of Daniel's birth. Good luck and have fun!
