Sandi, Yes, I have a record of the children of Francis Preston McNew and his wife Sallee Maupin. I'm not very good at figuring out how to e-mail my PAF file on their descendants, but I shall be happy to print out a copy to mail to you if you can give me your snail mail address. I also have photos of Preston, Sallee, and their home in Well Spring, Campbell Co. TN. (This was probably also the home of Amos Maupin as he and a bachelor son, Dr. Ayres Maupin, lived with the McNews in later life. The farm and mill, etc. were always refered to as the Maupin-McNew farm and mill. They were prominent citizens of the county. Preston served as a justice of the peace and as a state senator.) I also have a book given to them on their golden wedding anniversary. And I own two pieces of Victorian furniture from their home. I am descended from their fifth child, Milton Maupin McNew, and his wife Virginia Luster Claiborne. Their first child, Nettie Helen Ayres McNew, married Ericus Hollingsworth Smith. The Smiths had two daughters. The second, Margaret Eleanor Smith, married Dr. George Archibald Bradfute. I am the second of their three children, Sophia Ruth Bradfute. I was born in Knoxville, TN in 1933, but the earlier generations back to (but excluding) Amos were born in Campbell Co. TN.
