Hi Cousins: I've emailed Mike already in regard to his Maupin/Fisher info. I snail mailed all the Clay CO, KY Maupin photos, 67 or so, and the info to James Welch this Tuesday for his next book. I thank all of you who donated information and especially copies of valued family photos. There is still a little bit of time to email me copies of old photos and/or information. As is, we will all have lots of photos to enjoy. Photos are so important, I feel, in our genealogy as they give life to names. And, it's fun to see what the family looked like back when. As soon as James lets me know the cost of the book, I'll pass it on. I asked him to try and keep the cost around $20 or $25. He thinks he will only have 100 copies printed. I have a list of 20 cousins, so far, who want a copy. If there are other cousins who would like a copy please let me know now as there are other families in the book, though ours will be the largest, and copies will also be sold to their descendants. For you non-Clay CO Maupinites, you might want a copy of the book to learn more about your John Maupin~Sarah Crossthwait cousins. Sandi, I have other Clay County families but I have most of the info on my Allens, some on Hubbards, but would like more on Reed/Reids. Fifth grant grandmother was supposedly 100% Cherokee.
