And died Sept. 19, 1928 at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 3 days. She united with the First Baptist Church about 1885 and had lived a christian life ever since. On Feb 16, 1883 she was married to Newton Jasper UNDERWOOD and to this union was born five children: Virginia, who died in infancy, Edith LAKE of Brookfield, Mo., Wm. UNDERWOOD of Bynumville, Mo., Chas. UNDERWOOD of Marceline, and Eliza CONRAD, deceased. Mrs. UNDERWOOD was a member of the Baptist Church at Plainview for a number of years. She was a member of Westville Eastern Star Lodge. The funeral was held at the Baptist Church, Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock under the auspices of the Eastern Star. The sermon was delivered by Rev. H. H. MCLEOD, and interment was at Mt. Olive. Those who attended the funeral were Mrs. Ada MAUPIN, of Adams, Nebr., Mrs. J. D. CHANEY of Nebraska City, Nebr., sisters of Mrs. UNDERWOOD, Mr and Mrs T. J. UNDERWOOD of Arkansas City, Kansas, Mrs F. M. UNDERWOOD, Mr and Mrs DENNISONS, (Note: Should read Mr and Mrs DENNIS and sons) and two children, Mr and Mrs Chas. UNDERWOOD, Mr and Mrs Ott SHAFFER and Mrs H. BRADLEY all of Atchison Co, Rockport, Mo., Mr and Mrs Marvin UNDERWOOD of Brunswick, Mo.
