I bet it is the same George. What I am trying to figure out is why John T. Maupin had this copy in his papers. What is the relationship between George Washington and John Thomas Maupin. The paper with the letter on it looks like it was torn out of small book, about 3" x 6" or so. It was stuck inside a little advertising notebook by another life insurance company that had a few handwritten notes in it by John T. I am wondering if the letter was used in the Penn State Life Insurance Co., advertising somehow; as a "satisfied customer" perhaps, and John T. either knew George W. as a relative or wondered himself if they were related, and that is why he kept it. Another mystery to solve.....................Leanna -----Original Message----- From: Jerome & Jane Hawkins <jhawkins@worldinter.net> To: MAUPIN-L@rootsweb.com <MAUPIN-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, November 20, 2000 7:10 PM Subject: [MAUPIN-L] George W. & Fannie K.
