Dear William, I just paid a visit to the Colonial Williamsburg site and have some things to pass on to you. I ordered 4 Taliaferro-Cole replica houses. This doesn't mean they are still in stock but I think they are. One is for you,one for Loren, one for Dorothy Shaffett and one for me. I also ordered a replica of the (not sure of this)Wetherburn Tavern which looks to be the Market Square Tavern. There is a job description advertised just up your alley or Bettye Maupin's. The animals are a scream. AAAAAANNNNNNDddddddd----There is even a picture of the thimble found under the street(Nassau St). There is also a picture of a brick that was found on the same site that while it was cooling off a little kitty left its 2 front paw prints in it. There are several educational type screens that are really genre' screens. There are no Maupins mentioned here. They continually update these screens and would probably be receptive to the Maupin family since it covers a lot of trades and also the family is prominant in its role during the revolution. The Site is truly beautiful. the people putting it together obviously don't belong to the Foudation. The sites have an undercurrent of humor. Polly,Molly, and Dolly are well represented on their own web page-remember the cloned sheep from Scotland? I cannot think of cloning sheep with out thinking about that commercial that came out just after Dolly from Caesar's Pizza. Remember the Scotsman talking passionately and every time he hits this button on his desk another sheep pops up until the window into the lab is 7/8ths full of baaaaaaaing sheep. I love the Devon cattle and how they pose to have their picture take whenever they see a camera pointed at them. Their own page in Williamsburg is in the planning stages. There is a picture of them standing there in high heels!!!!! I cannot sleep. I got in a 30 minute nap and then I was awake again. We have caught up on our rainfall for the year since I got back. Now they have snow in the forecast for here over the weekend. I still have 2 houses to paint on the outside. I can trim trees and paint inside when it is snowing or raining but not outside. Every time I have a problem with this infernal box the format changes. I have finally been able to get to my email in the last 24 hours. I could not read my mail for the last 5 weeks. I still have no security and no sound.! The computers at work were just as bad if not worse. You couldn't put lab orders in around 2400 because it would be 2 days before the request printed. The monitors would dump hours worth of vital signs and the time on the screen would loose 4 hours until about 0500 and then it would correct itself. I know the patient records were not secure because things never showed up where they were supposed to. December 31 ,1997 did not change into 1 -1-1998 it became December 32,1997. Columbia never did retrieve their lost revenue because it was a holiday and a long weekend at that. All the programmers were gone for the holidays. Well at least the critters have warmed up the clean sheets. Take care of your self.
