Denise, I think we should all stop and think before we hit the "Reply" button that sends our messages to the entire MAUPIN-List. Just take a moment and ask yourself is this relevant to my or someone else's research? Or is this just being "chatty?" If it is being "chatty," perhaps it should be a reply to the individual. Some/many of us belong to more than one SURNAME-List and to receive and read 75 or more messages a day can be a very time consuming task even when deleting them after a quick glance. Rather than lose members of the List who might be valuable contributors (this has happened, and may happen again) it is my humble opinion that we keep our messages on track, which means things that concern the MAUPIN family research.
