Sarah Catherine MAUPIN b. 6 Mar 1830 to Perry MAUPIN and Rachel BRADLEY married Jacob Riley HAMILTON ? on the 19 Nov 1854 ? They lived in Mercer County, Missouri and she died 24 March 1863 and they are both buried at the Hamilton Cemetery near Modena, Mercer, Missouri. I don't have much information on Sarah MAUPIN, nor her family Perry and Rachel, except there children were Zidana, Garrett, Isabelle, possibly John Henry and Sarah Catherine who died shortly after she was born. Sarah Maupin died about the same time as little Sarah, but I don't know if they were buried together. I have seen Howard MAUPIN listed on the MAUPIN-L list and am also very interested in him. I heard about Maupin's Ferry and a town being named after him, but didn't see a county and was hoping someone would have information about where it is. I am in contact with another cousin who lives in Vancouver, Clark, Washington who told me a little about Howard and she did say she found it in a History Book, but couldn't remember which one.
