It has the page number 247 on the bottom of it. It is very interesting reading and I was wondering where I could find the rest of it to read. Does anyone out there have a clue? It was laying with the guns that were displayed at that reunion. Any clue would be appreciated." I suspect that article was copied from Dorothy Maupin Shaffett's book, "The Story of Gabriel and Marie Maupin," as an article by the same title appears at page 247 of her book. The article carries over for 5 more lines on page 248. The whole article is in italics, implying it was written originally by someone else. Unfortunately, Dorothy did not include, either at the end or the beginning of the article, a citation to the original. Perhaps the book provides that information somewhere else. She might have been quoting Eugene Maupin's work. I'm sure someone else on the list, more familiar with Dorothy's book, can provide more information on the source of the article. By the way, we know where the cemetery is that is described in the article--south of Richmond in Madison County, KY. Warren B. Wood
