    3. Dear Maupin Cousins....I have been trying to place this Maupin who married into my Sharp line. He has been a real problem. Bill gave me as much information and advice that he could. Will you look this report over and see if Charles Wesley Maupin fits anywhere in your line? I can take you back on the SHARP side to 1600s and have over 6000 des of the Sharp line. Now, why does this little family have to be such a brickwall? What happened to their children? Who were his parents? The branch of SHARP's that Ada des from migrated to Decatur and Jennings Counties of Indiana in 1805 from Washington County, PA. I have no idea when this line of Maupin's migrated from as the first clue that I have is the marriage certificate of Charles and Ada. Any help?? Yes, I have spent 30 years in April of next year researching my Father's Sharp line and I have tried every thing I have been taught to locate Charles Maupin a family.....so far nothing. Thank you so much. Maybe you have a stray Charles in your line!! Or a stray SHARP. Thanks so very much for reading this. 3. OK...here is what I have on this line... Gabriel Maupin (b.~1664(Loiret, France) d. 30 Apr 1720 (Williamsburg, VA) married to Marie Spencer (b. 1664 d. 1748 Williamsburg, VA) Their son, Daniel Maupin (1700-1788) married in 1719 to: Margaret Via (1701-1789) They had 10 children. 3. Carol Breeden. In your response concerning Charles Wesley MAUPIN. You have Bennett's birth as 04-Jul-1766. This would make his father, Matthew only 2 yrs old when he was born. I think Bennett was born 1788. What is you source for the third wife, Mary Royce. I am much interested in proving that William who married Maleetha Parish is in fact the son of Bennett rather than Dabney which I have had my doubts about. Any help you can give would be much appreciated. Pauline

    3. Sorry, Pauline, the birthdate of Bennet Maupin is 4 July 1788...NOT 1766. I do apologize. His parents were Mathew Maupin and Lucy Ballard. On 3 Oct 1808 Bennet Maupin was married to Mary Burch. (My source says the marriage took place in Bath Co, KY.) They had three sons...Alexander, John Burch, and Daniel. I am presuming that Mary Burch Maupin died, because... According to court records, Bennet Maupin was married to Mary Royse on 7 Jan 1819 in Fleming Co, KY. William Maupin (my ancestor) was born on 11 Oct 1819 in Fleming Co, KY. In 1820, Bennet Maupin is listed on the Fleming Co, KY Census with a wife, four sons and one daughter. I am only assuming that these sons are Alexander, John Burch, Daniel, and the new baby, William. Maybe Mary Royse had a daughter when she and Bennet were married, or maybe there was a daughter born during his marriage to Mary Burch. I do not know. According to court records, Bennet Maupin was married to Sally Blackburn on 8 May 1827 in Nicholas Co, KY. .An article about Rev. William Maupin after he died stated that he was born in Fleming County, KY on Oct 11, 1819 and died in Union County, IN on June 27, 1873. He married Maletha Parish in Fleming Co, KY in the fall of 1839. She died in the spring of 1858 in Jennings Co, IN. William then married Rhoda Jane Hall in the fall of 1858. Hope this is of some help to you. 2. MAUPIN REUNION 2000
    3. Good Morning!!! Got a problem here!!! Mary Burch was the daughter of John Burch and Judith Maupin Epperson Burch. I have Mary's death as 1827 Nicholas Co., Ky. She was one of three children, (all girls) born to John Burch and Judith Maupin Epperson Burch; but this is still in need of work and verification. I do not think Mary and Bennett married in Kentucky, however, it is doubtful that Mary Burch would go to Kentucky alone, or with half brothers and leave her parents in Albemarle County. Please comment!!! Several of the Burch boys went to Kentucky, along with the Eppersons.
