Just came across this sit on another list, and thought some of you may be interested in it. Newspapers on Microfilm - Univ. of Oregon at Eugene, OR. It is a very impressive list of newspapers! http://libweb.uoregon.edu/govdocs/micro/papers.htm One of the newspapers is the "Maupin Times" covering the period Sep 2, 1914-Jul 31, 1930. It includes a few newspapers from other states including CA, NV, VA. One of VA's is the "Williamsburg VA Virginia Gazette" for the period Sep 10, 1736-Dec 9, 1780. Sandy and I have other kin, who migrated to OR. We spent a day + at this library, and have obtained several of the microfilm via inter-library loan. I believe most, if not all, of these microfilm are available through inter-library loan, but you will have to check the site for more detail. Hope the above will be of some help!
