    3. I think she was talking about "Hippocrates in a Red Vest: the biography of a Frontier Doctor" by Barron B. Beshoar. Pat > >From a previous message:: " Who shot Thompson was from the book by Dr. Michael Beshore who was married to Ann Maupin.". OCLC, the world library catalogue failed to turn up the above as a published author. At sometime in the near future would you report the book title and the author[s] names? Please and thank you. bmaupin@houston.rr.com ...

    2. MAUPIN REUNION 2000
    3. Good Morning!!! Dorothy Snead has a personal copy of the book and she copied all the pages that have the Maupin information on them. I can send to anyone who would like as soon as I find them. You can not believe all the boxes of papers I have around here to file. Apparently the Beshore family is not interested in the Maupin family, as they were invited to the reunion, but heard no reply. This book was the diary of Michael Beshore who was an MD during and after the Civil War. He was the personal doctor of THE KIT CARSON, who was from Madison County, KY apparently. Also, John Harris Maupin and Rachael his second wife lived with Michael and Ann until the died. I am currently planning a research trip to Trinidad, CO to work on this family. 3. Good Morning William and all: I thought I had a direct line to the MAUPIN Family via the Thomas JARMAN (JERMAN), b. abt. 1777; d. 12/1843 in Madison County, KY; m. 10 July 1802 in Madison County, KY, Lucretia FREEMAN. However, there are several Thomas JARMANS. Thomas JARMAN, (Per William: b. 11-28-1785 Albemarle Co., VA; d. 9-12-1868); m. 24/03/1814 in Fluvanna Co., VA, Nancy KEY. I still believe a direct line may exist, or at the least a collateral tie. I have communicated with Linda (JARMAN) VALENTINE regarding the Thomas JARMANS & the JARMAN line. I would sure appreciate any help with these Thomas JARMANS (JERMANS)! I also discovered this AM, that I have at least a collateral tie to the MAUPIN Family via the CREWS Family of Madison Co., KY. Those ties are applicable to the 29/09/1808 marriage bond in Madison Co., KY between Betsy MAUPIN (Dau. of Daniel MAUPIN & ????) and David CREWS (Son of Thomas CREWS). Can anyone tell me who this Daniel MAUPIN'S wife is, and their respective ancestries and descendancies? I discovered an 20/10/1916 obit in my pile of papers for a Mrs. Mary MAUPIN CREWS, who died in Armstrong, Howard Co., MO, and who has many relatives in Madison Co. She is survived by several children, her husband having preceded her to the grave several years. Can anyone provide the MAUPIN-CREWS ancestry and descendancy for Mary, her ??? husband and children? I am also related directly to the CREWS Family via my 3rd g grandfather, Edward F. JARMAN (JERMAN) (Son of the Thomas JARMAN (JERMAN) above.). There are just too many commonalties for me not to be kin to all you wonderful MAUPIN folks! Gotta Be! Wanta Be! <BG> But, I need some hep!
